Kampala, Uganda — May 7, 2025 — Uganda Digital Society (UDS), Uganda’s umbrella body for digital practitioners, is proud to announce a new partnership with Open Window University (OWU), a distinguished institution dedicated to the creative arts. The partnership aims to broaden access to high-quality creative education for Ugandan learners through discounted certificates, degrees, and master’s programs.
Under this collaborative framework, Open Window University will offer structured academic programs at reduced tuition rates for students recommended by UDS. These programs are designed to cultivate skills in creative disciplines such as design, digital media, and visual arts, which are becoming increasingly essential in Uganda’s rapidly growing digital economy.
“This partnership marks a pivotal moment for Uganda’s creative and digital community,” said John Ssenkeezi, the President of Uganda Digital Society. “By working with Open Window University, we are unlocking global-quality education opportunities for local talent, ensuring our members are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in the modern creative workforce.”
As part of its commitment, UDS will identify eligible students, facilitate enrollment, and provide ongoing mentorship and networking opportunities. OWU, in turn, will deliver high-quality instruction, both online and in person, while also issuing recognised academic credentials upon completion. Applications for discounted placements must be submitted through UDS at least one week before OWU’s course enrollment deadlines.
This collaboration reflects both institutions’ dedication to empowering digital creatives through education and community-building. It also signals a step forward in bridging the global education gap through inclusive, digitally driven partnerships.
